The Destruction Begins

Now that we're back and we know the bike runs well I decided to go ahead and start removing the damaged body panels.

Found some extra parts in the trunk.

Here are the front fairings side by side.

As it turns out the fairing bracket is tweaked so I had to order a new one. I though about just getting a used one on eBay but most of the ones I have found so far were also bent. I tried to fix mine first but couldn't get all the holes to line up right. A new one is only $88+tax which is probably the cheapest part on the whole bike.

Here is the new front fairing prepped for the bike.

This is what the bike would look like if that bracket wasn't bent.

But for now I'll settle for a naked bike.
